Parmesan cheese In a medium sauce pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic, heavy cream, pepper and salt and let it simmer over a low heat. Add the cheese and continue simmering for 8 minutes or until it thickens up. Remove it from the heat and serve it over your favorite pasta.
